We serve people with developmental disabilities:
-
Developmental disabilities are life-long disabilities that begin in childhood, prior to age 22.
-
While a developmental disability significantly limits a person's ability to live independently, some people may have mild limitations and others more severe.
-
People with developmental disabilities need life-long support and assistance, but they can always learn new skills.
-
Examples of a developmental disability include Down syndrome, learning disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, head injury, autism. For many people the cause is unknown.
If you or someone you know would benefit from Life Skills’ Services, please contact our Intake Department at 314.567.7705 or email them at intake@lifeskills-stl.org.
