Governor Jay Nixon recently signed the 2010 State Budget, which includes funding to take 750 people with developmental disabilities in the most serious need of services off the waiting list for services. Approximately 4,700 people with developmental disabilities such as autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy are on the waiting list for services in Missouri. The waiting list for services continues to grow each year.
