We believe that all people with developmental disabilities belong in, and can be supported successfully in, the community.

We believe serving people in the community results in the highest possible quality of life for our fellow citizens who have a developmental disability.

We believe Missouri needs to close institutions and congregate campuses and instead serve all people with developmental disabilities in the community with the supports they need to live, work, play and worship with their fellow citizens.

We believe policy should be driven by best practice.

We are people with disabilities, parents of children with disabilities, siblings, friends, teachers, service providers and other supporters. We believe that people with disabilities have the same civil rights as all citizens.

We ask you to stand up and be a courageous leader. We ask you to take the lead in developing a Missouri where all citizens have an opportunity to live the life they want, in the community of their choice, with the supports they need.
